Kaydee Gabel is an active teacher, violinist, and pianist in the Kansas City area. She grew up in Lee’s Summit, MO, where music was a big part of her life. She and her 3 siblings all learned how to play the piano as well as a string instrument and now play in an ensemble called the Gabel String Quartet. Kaydee earned her Bachelors of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), and went on to study at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) until the pandemic hit in 2020. During her time at UNL, she participated in the UNL Symphony Orchestra, various chamber music ensembles, and UNL University Singers. One highlight of her college  career was being able to perform at Carnegie Hall with the University Singers. She currently runs her own private studio teaching piano and violin in Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She plans on returning to UMKC in 2023, but in the meantime is focusing on her students and is recultivating her love for music.   Kaydee also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her new kitten, Ophelia.
