Season 7

Westwood Ensemble: On Tour

Welcome to Season Seven of Westwood Ensemble as we go “On the Road” to explore the variety and ethnic diversity of 19th century Romantic music.  Our seventh season features a diverse range of compositions and will be performed at various high schools throughout the metropolitan area.  Two concerts will showcase symphonic works by Russian and Czech composers, and a third will present a sampling of the 19th century's greatest hits from Italian and French ballet and opera.  Even today these enduring melodies can be heard in television and film scores.  The season concludes with a lively concert of Czech music inspired by traditional folk dances and by nature.  We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy our musical offerings this season.
